Privacy on the Internet can be difficult to come by, especially when using the most popular platforms. However, its not entirely impossible. All you need is a little bit of knowledge and some basic tools. Below are some resources collected by the community to help you get started on your journey to personal digital sovereignty.

Organizations.
These are organizations fighting for your rights online.

EFF
The Electronic Frontier Foundation has been lobbying for your rights online in America for a long time. Their lists of successes is long. Check them out!

These are some proven tools that help protect your privacy on the Internet.

Privacy Badger
Privacy Badger is a free and open-source browser extension for Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Opera, and Firefox for Android created by the Electronic Frontier Foundation.

Firefox
Firefox is a free, open source browser that allows you to block tracking cookies by default.

Tor Browser
Tor Browser is an web browser that protects you by leveraging the Tor Onion network to provide anonymous & encrypted browsing through a network of randomly selected proxies or onion routers to keep your identity safe.

DuckDuckGo
DuckDuckGo is an internet search engine that emphasizes protecting searchers' privacy and avoiding the filter bubble of personalized search results. DuckDuckGo distinguishes itself from other search engines by not profiling its users and by showing all users the same search results for a given search term.

Mailvelope
Mailvelope is a browser add-on that you can use in Chrome, Edge and Firefox to securely encrypt your emails with PGP using webmail providers.

Signal
An open source end to end encrypted messaging app that supports media & video chatting.

ProtonMail
Secure Privacy & Encryption Minded E-mail provider based out of Switzerland

Thanks for compiling these resources for everyone. Happened to watch Citizenfour again tonight, an apt reminder of why these efforts are needed. Looking forward to trying the VPN-- just hoping it doesn't throttle my speed like the last one I used. :mrgreen:

Skylaski VPN doesn't throttle at all! We also use WireGuard as the fastest available VPN technology on the market today. Stay tuned, we're launching soon!
